Ram qualified from the UCL Medical School in 1978 and was appointed Consultant ENT Surgeon in 1989. He is heavily involved in postgraduate medical education, particularly in primary care, and has developed with Rila Institute of Health Sciences numerous postgraduate courses for GPs. He was a National Clinical Leader in the UK Department of Health Modernisation Agency and worked closely with the Department of Health in collaboration with the CHD & Emergency Care, the National Association for Primary Care and Primary Care Trusts. Ram Is on the editorial board of “The Otorhinolaryngologist”, and edits a primary care journal, Clinical Focus.
He has an interest in “Obstructive Sleep Apnoea” and recently developed a “Stroke Management Course” with The London Cardiac and Stroke Networks, kitemarked by the UK Forum for Stroke Training.
