Alexandra has graduated with a degree in Chemistry from Imperial College London in 2008 and was awarded her PhD at the same university in 2012. She specializes in Physical Chemistry (Nanotechnology) and has published widely and presented her work at international conferences. She is currently a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry.
As part of her undergraduate degree Alexandra has spend a year in Industry working at 3M (Automotive Manufacturing Division), Shlumberger (R&D) and Citi (Fixed Income) and has published her research. At 3M she was responsible for the recruitment process of the next generation of placement students.
During her PhD she held a position of a postgraduate laboratory demonstrator for undergraduate students and was also a supervisor for undergraduate research project for final year students. She has also been privately tutoring Chemistry (University level) and Sciences (GCSE level) as well as conducting mock Oxbridge interviews at various schools in London. Alexandra is also a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) Ambassador and has organized and presented science related workshops for secondary schools in London.
As part of her charity commitments she has worked at an orphanage in Bosnia, skydived and participated in a half marathon and 1 mile Thames Great Swim. Alexandra is an extensive traveller and likes exploring new cultures. She is bilingual in Russian and English and is currently learning Arabic.
