Dr Mike Alsford
Mike was awarded a
PhD from Durham University and has worked in the British University system for
20 years. During this time he has taught at all undergraduate levels as well as
supervising postgraduate work at both MA and PhD level. He has published widely
in the fields of philosophy, religion and contemporary culture - his last book
was published in 2006. Mike has been interviewed on BBC television and radio as
well as London radio stations in connection with his work. Alongside his academic duties and role as
Senior Tutor with a UK university, Mike has had responsibility for the running
of open days, dealing with university applications and conducting first year
induction and study skills programmes for new students. He has also worked as a
student councillor providing pastoral support for students during their
university careers. His work with EdmissionUK has involved him with students
from around the world studying all the major secondary school curricula.
Mike is responsible for advising students on all aspects of their application and for ensuring all educational programmes and services are delivered to the highest possible standards.
